Navy Rug
What color upholstered headboard should I hang with gray walls and navy curtains and bedspread?
I am planning to make an upholstered headboard, but am unsure what color fabric to use. The walls are a gray (silent night) and the curtains and bedspread are navy blue. The bedspread has very thin white lines making a grid (the boxes created are like 4 in by 4 in. What color headboard should I make? Also, I want to get a rug to place at the foot of the bed...any suggestions on color? I was thinking a rug with large squares, with a few different colors: blue, red, green, brown, etc. This will tie in with some art I want to hang over the bed. Good idea?

I like the gray and navy blue, but since you have boxes in your bedspread I think you need a floral or a swirl for the headboard or the rug to add some interest. Artwork, of course, can pull everything together. See if you like any of these fabrics and rugs. It's hard to choose since I'm not sure of your taste, but you sound like you like contemporary.
